A Neighbourhood Rotisserie Restaurant,

Takeaway & Delivery

IMG_3616.jpg

LeCoq is a neighbourhood rotisserie restaurant in the heart of Islington. We serve succulent, delicious, truly free range roast chickens reminiscent of the street markets of France, to eat in or take away.

We are also famed for our rotisserie potatoes- potatoes cooked in the dripping juices and fat of the chickens- impossible to resist.

On Sundays the spits are fired up for other roasts such as whole wild salmon, crispy pork belly or melting shoulder of lamb.

We have a beautiful private dining room where we serve bespoke feasts for up to fourteen people in the comfort of their own room.

LeCoq can also be enjoyed off site with options ranging from takeaway for a lazy supper, to office deliveries for a treat of a Friday lunch, to catering for large parties.

Our Story

LeCoq was set up by the Morris sisters in August 2013.

Ana and Sanja have 16 years of hospitality experience between them- Sanja co-founded Salt Yard Group and Ana is a Leith's trained chef with a career spanning La Trompette to Rochelle Canteen.

One snowy December in Brooklyn over some cocktails, smoked pork chops and duck dumpling soup Ana and Sanja looked each other in the eye and said two words- ROAST CHICKEN and then several more, such as the best roast potatoes ever, rotisserie, neighbourhood vibe and should siblings work together?

Eighteen months later LeCoq was born.

Ana runs the show whilst Sanja oversees the business behind the scenes.

They are joined more than capably by Adam Middleton and Francesca Manzai in the kitchen whilst Melissa Read and Vincent Brossaud woo the locals front of house.

Plans are now afoot for more restaurant adventures ( and yes sisters can work together). If interested please email your cv to office@le-coq.co.uk
