Jennifer Klinec was born and grew up in Canada in the most East European of families. Always craving autonomy and adventure, she left Canada at 16 for Europe. 

She opened a cooking school out of her loft apartment which Time Out named ‘The hippest, most authentic cooking school in London’ and travels to countries most people are fearful of, in search of ancient recipes and delicious things to eat.

One such journey took Jennifer off to Iran in which she immersed herself in its food culture, and found some love on the way. The Temporary Bride, her first book, recounts her adventures in Iran and has just been published by Virago.

In our sixth rotisserie takeover, Jennifer Klinec will be filling LeCoq with the heady scents and exotic ingredients of the Middle East for the night.  Expect ingredients including honey, saffron, cinnamon, pomegranate, pistachio and barberry as Jennifer cooks up a Persian storm.
